Much
to Lena's dismay, Anya felt that Kesha was "too fat and had a pointed
head!" (It's probably just as well that Anya felt this way because
Lena was NOT about to part with Kesha!)
Sometimes
Kesha seems to find what one would think would be the most awkward possible
position...such as being draped down both sides of a chair back...in which
to "get comfortable."
The
"Little Guy" just keeps growing and G-R-O-W-I-N-G! We could
not believe the difference in his size as shown in the top right frame
of this page (at 16 weeks) and on the same pizza pan at 13 months!
No
one—except Lena and I—would believe how many digital images
we had to shoot in order to get this 'final photo' which has BOTH: (1)
Kesha's eyes OPEN and (2) LOOKING AT THE CAMERA! Sigh...
Getting
Falco to pose for his Christmas card was very easy. We just told him to
"sit," took about 5 digital images, and selected the best one
of them. No problem!
And,
one more time on the PIZZA PAN! As of 11 Jan 2002, he's now 18.5LB. I
like to tell people that Kesha is NOT FAT—he simply has a SMALL HEAD
and SHORT LEGS in proportion to his overall body size!
In
mid-March 2002, Kesha turned 20 months of age...and reached 20 LBS (9.1
KG) in weight!
Both
Falco and Kesha often sleep on their backs with their paws in the air.
We just happened to shoot this photo of Kesha as he was walking by Falco
and checking him out. The caption says it all....
COSTCO
has incredibly low prices on stuffed animals and, when Lena saw this giant
Panda Bear (complete with its baby panda) for only $25, she quickly grabbed
one.
We’re
not sure whether Lena or Kesha likes this panda the most, but we took
these 2 photos after Kesha decided to join the Panda on one of our recliner
chairs.
Kesha
has discovered that his favorite sink (in which he used to sleep) has
SHRUNK!
It
is not unusual to find Kesha and Falco sleeping peacefully next to each
other.
Falco
was really glad to have Anya stay with us for six months—she takes
him out to run with her several times per week. But, all that running
works up a ‘sweat’ and sooner or later, he needs to get hosed
down and scrubbed.
As
often happens to large male cats, Kisha broke the ‘ball’ off
his hip bone and underwent surgery to remove the broken piece of bone
from the socket. He is expected to pretty much regain full use of the
leg—and to regrow the hair!
In
April of 2005, we saw a GREAT new Garfield 'exercise' toy which we thought
might inspire our petite 20 LB Kesha to become more active. Yea, well,
so much for "Great Ideas" and "Good Intentions!"
As
can be seen in these two photos, Kesha's idea of exercise was...initially...to
lay on his side and to try to grab the object as it swung randomly by
his head. After several minutes of this kind of 'vigorous' activity, Kesha
then simply laid there and moved his eyes to watch the activity.
Lena
occasionally enjoys trying to have Kesha join her on the couch (which
he simply hates!). In this case, Falco felt he was being left out of the
affection and he also wanted Lena's attention. Kesha was quite happy to
head off the couch!
Kesha
really enjoys Christmas since there are so many 'new friends' around the
house with which he can play. Needless to say, Lena just loves...
...to
watch how Kesha seems to feel all these special decorations are just for
HIS benefit and enjoyment!
When
Kesha decides to explore Lena's computer desk, he just sort of COMPLETELY
takes over the entire area...
...and
more or less puts a complete halt to whatever Lena might have been doing
before his arrival.
