[During my four years at NAS Atsugi, Japan, from DEC 1969 TO JAN 1974, I never got back to the US. However, I did travel quite a bit throughout Japan and other countries in the Far East.]

OKINAWA

[I visited Okinawa several times during my Japan tour to purchase local Okinawan merchandise for the Atsugi NEX.]

KOREA

[In addition to visiting Korea while aboard ship, I went to Korea several times during my Japan tour to purchase local Korean merchandise for the Atsugi NEX.]

TAHITI

[I stopped over in Tahiti (part of French Polynesia) for one night on my way back from Australia to the US and captured an incredibly beautiful sunset!]

SINGAPORE

[I visited Singapore one time as part of a 3-week tour of the Far East while stationed at NAS Atsugi in the early 1970's.]

PENANG

[I visited Penang one time as part of a 3-week tour of the Far East while stationed at NAS Atsugi in the early 1970's.]

BANGKOK

[I visited BANGKOK one time as part of my 3-week tour of the Far East in the early 1970's.]

HONG KONG

[In addition to hitting Hong Kong during both my shipboard tours, I went there on leave several times during my Japan tour.]
